(Complete description of the project is required and must be enclosed separately, max 10 pages – please consult Formal Requirements and Guidelines for applications) The purpose of this study is two-fold. First, we want to describe the working environment on the Faroese labour market using a validated Danish questionnaire. Second, we want to examine the association between the psychosocial working environment and stress for the younger employees, using quantitative and qualitative methods. The purpose of the study is thus to examine the working environment on Faroese workplaces, and this way to enable improvements of the physical as well as the psychological working environment. In the Faroe Islands, this area of research is not well described. The study would thereby be the first of its kind, and valuable on different levels; for the employee, for the employer and for the political system that have the responsibility for the Faroese labour market.
